Cowdog Wild Bill sure had some fun adventures this semester with Mrs. Stearn's CI 424 class. He had the opportunity to visit Michigan, Indiana, Colorado, Shorewood, Marion and Eldorado. Along with his trips to several different cities and states, he had the opportunity to meet a Holocaust survivor, which he enjoyed very much. Mrs. Stearn's CI 424 class had a great time traveling with Wild Bill this semester, and will miss him very much! Above is a picture of our class in which Cowdog Wild Bill traveled a total of 6159.47 miles this semester.

Wild Bill makes a visit to Eldorado

Wild Bill sure has been a lot of places with Lindsay Justice! He traveled from SIU to her house in Eldorado twice! Not to mention he also spent the whole weekend checking out the sites in Eldorado, IL. He visited the elementary school, Wal-Mart, Union Grove Baptist church, and McDonalds! On his last day in town Lindsay took him to the Veterans Memorial in downtown Eldorado which is shown in the picture. Even Wild Bill knows it's important to pay tribute to those who have served our country!

Three States in Three Days!

March 28-30, 2008

Meagan McBride and Wild Bill did not know what they got themselves into on this adventure. After traveling to three different states in three days, they are both exhausted.  Not only did they travel to three different states, but one of these states was Michigan.  Being from the South, Wild Bill was extremely unprepared when Meagan took him to see Big Red, a lighthouse in Holland, Michigan.  He couldn't believe his eyes - there was snow in the water! He sure was ready to run back to the truck after Meagan took his picture with the lighthouse. Saturday, it warmed up a great deal, and they went for a quick walk on the beach. Finally, on Sunday, it was time to pack up and head home, but not before stopping in Indianapolis, Indiana, to meet some friends for lunch. Wild Bill was very happy to be back on the train and on his way to Carbondale!

Wild Bill Meets Holocaust Survivor

March 20-23, 2008

Meagan McBride took Wild Bill home with her for Easter. Not only did he go to her home, in Paris, Illinois, but he also went to Terre Haute, Indiana, and Chrisman, Illinois. While in Terre Haute, Meagan and Wild Bill took a picture in front of the Candles Holocaust Museum - a museum opened and ran by a true Holocaust survivor! Later on that day, Meagan decided to take Wild Bill to Chrisman, Illinois, so he could meet one of her friends and her new puppy. Wild Bill and Harley (the pup) had tons of fun together!

Bill's trip around Carbondale and Marion

Bill went with Codi Acocks for an entire weekend where they went several places including: Showplace 8 (where she works) several times, Vine Community Church, the rec center, Cracker Barrel in Marion, her house in Carbondale and SIU. Road Trip to Colorado

March 6 - 16

Wild Bill rode in a car all the way the Breckenridge, Colorado! He and Megan walked to her apartment before driving to St. Louis, MO to pick up her husband. Then they drove to Springfield, IL to prepare for their trip. To get to Denver, CO they drove through Missouri and Kansas. After hanging out in Denver for a little while, they continued their drive to Breckenridge where Wild Bill got to pose in front of a bakery for dogs.

Wild Bill meets a 'priest'

Wild Bill met a Jesuit priest on Feb. 4 when Dan Heckenberger came to our class and gave a living history presentation about the Illinois Indians. Bill especially liked the rawhide and bones that Dan brought to class.
